Mick Conlon (Course manager/tutor/assessor)
Previously:
Group Manager (retired) with 32 years with Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service. Fire Investigation Officer for 16 years with the lead and co-ordination role for over 10 years. Representation at the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFFC) Fire Investigation Strategic Steering Group.Represented Northamptonshire at the East Mids Region Fire Investigation group.
Completed Cert Ed in 2003. MSc (Dist) in Fire Scene Investigation in 2014.
Presently:
Trainer/instructor and assessor for Fire Investigation with GATR, SFJA Level 2 and Level 5 assessor
UKAS Forensic Fire Investigator Technical Assessor for ISO 17020.
Visiting Fellow with the University of Northampton supporting the Criminology dept.
Private Fire Investigator for a leading International Company.
John Hubble (Course manager/tutor/assessor) – Formerly 28 years with Wiltshire and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Services, he became Group Manager and lead fire investigation co-ordinator with regional reference. Contributor to UK NOS.
Malcolm Jenkins (Course manager/tutor/assessor) – formerly 31 years with Avon Fire & Rescue Service. In 2003, he set up the Avon & Somerset Arson Task Force. He is an experienced fire investigator, instructor and assessor working in both the public and private sectors. He has been investigating fires for 20 years producing many detailed reports and has presented evidence at Magistrate and Crown courts and Coroners inquests. He currently works with both prosecution and defence in the CJS. He has an HND in Fire command and management and an MSc (merit) in Fire Investigation from Anglia Ruskin University.
Paul Mayne (Head of Assessment Centre and Online Learning site manager) – Formally Detective Chief Inspector, Head of Fraud Squad and Central Operations. He is an experienced investigator and instructor who can cover many areas including assessment management, assessor & trainer training. He has an MA in Training and Development Systems Management and a Cert Ed. He is currently Head of the GATR's Assessment Centre and site manager/course designer for our online courses.
Hannah Mayne - (GATR Assessment Centre coordinator) Formerly business manager with the Scouts association and previously worked with the National Trust. Hannah provides online learning administration support and site management.
Alan Munford – (Course manager/tutor/assessor/IQA) Formerly 36 years with Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service and holding fire investigation reference for much of that time. Currently the Internal Quality Assessor (IQA) for GATR. Was a member of the inaugural team that developed the SFJ Level 5 Certificate. Co-wrote the SFJ Level2 Award.
Dave Stokes (Course manager/tutor/assessor)– Formerly 40 years with Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Services. As Station Commander he was lead fire investigation co-ordinator with regional reference. Contributor to UK NOS.
Chris Ward (Course manager/tutor/assessor)– formerly 30 years with Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue Service, achieving the role of Group Manager having maintained a fire investigation reference for many years He has lectured at the Oman Fire Service College and Sultan Qaboos University. He has a BSc in Forensic Science. Chris authors the technical input for the online courses. Recently appointed as a technical assessor for UKAS
